ALCO ENGINEERING is supporting a leading player in the food industry and is looking for an Automation Workstream Lead / Automation Engineer for a major production expansion project.
âś… Your missions :
Lead the architecture, integration, and implementation of control systems to ensure
reliable, safe, and scalable solutions covering both process and utilities.
Key responsibilities :
- Manage the automation scope, budget, and overall financial control
- Drive the project schedule (design, FAT, site integration, SAT, performance testing)
- Define control system architecture in line with OT standards (PLC/SCADA, recipes, alarms, data/historian)
- Develop user requirements specifications and manage interfaces with process OEMs
- Ensure safe implementation: machine safety, interlocks, safe states
- Coordinate supplier FATs and manage punch lists
- Lead commissioning activities: PLC/SCADA connectivity, OT/network, I/O checks, functional testing
- Manage OT/MES/Data interfaces and ensure cybersecurity compliance
- Support troubleshooting and performance optimization during ramp-up
Your profile :
- Strong experience in a similar role (ideally within the food industry)
- Budget and schedule management experience
- Strong safety, quality, and governance mindset
- Operational leadership skills
- Fluent English
